What is SPRITAM?

A different form of levetiracetam, a trusted medicine for epilepsy*

SPRITAM is an oral prescription flash-dispersing medication that is approved for the treatment of certain types of epileptic seizures. SPRITAM is a monotherapy, which means it can be taken alone or with other medications to treat partial-onset seizures in people 4 years of age and older. Spritam taken with other medications is also approved for the treatment of myoclonic seizures in people 12 years of age and older with juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures in people 6 years of age and older with certain types of generalized epilepsy.

There are many types of epilepsy treatments. However, SPRITAM is the first and only medicine made using 3D printing. You may find that SPRITAM is surprisingly easy to take.
